Our Pastor

Meet Our New Pastor

It’s official! On November 26th, the church voted in Pastor Bob McHenry to be our Lead Pastor here at Faith Wesleyan Church.

He and his wife Cheryl will be moving to Terre Haute in the coming weeks with his first Sunday at Faith on December 24, 2017. Such a perfect time for new beginnings for our church.

Pastor Bob and his wife Cheryl are native Hoosiers and have a deep love for the people of Indiana. It has been a dream in their hearts to return to their home state. They sought God’s direction and asked for Psalm 37 to come to life in their lives as they aligned their desires with God’s heart.

They have one son, Dylan who is a graduate of Indiana Wesleyan University. He is married to Rachel and they make their home in Greentown, IN. Both are school teachers.

Pastor Bob is a dedicated pastor with a passion to share the love of God with neighbors and around the world. The verse that has guided and shaped his call to ministry is Psalm 16:11, “You will make known to me the path of life. In your presence there is fullness of joy; at your right hand are pleasures forevermore.”

In every community they have served, Pastor Bob’s wife, Cheryl, has been used by God to build bridges to the unchurched. She is uniquely gifted with a personality that draws people with love and acceptance. Her passion is working with children and she still receives cards and letters from kids she has impacted in her ministry role.

Their experience in ministry includes leading three churches to re-imagine their future and missional impact. They have a strong passion for reaching people with the news of God’s love both locally and beyond. Over the years they have participated in a number of cross cultural ministry experiences in travels to places like Kathmandu, Nepal; Liberia, Africa; Croatia, Bosnia, Zambia and others.

Pastor Bob has over 17 years of experience as both a solo and lead pastor of local churches in Sioux Falls, SD; Buffalo, WY; and Bristol, SD. His Studies were at Indiana Wesleyan University where he received a Master of Divinity degree; a Master of Arts degree in Ministerial Leadership; A Bachelor’s degree in Christian Ministries and Addictions Counseling; and an Associates of Science degree in Business.
